工藤真人さんの唐津手大皿です。
軽井沢での10回目の個展ということで浅間山を描いたそうです。活火山 浅間山の猛々しさを噴煙と一緒に表現されてますね。でも空には優雅に飛ぶ3羽の鳥。自然の雄大さも伝わってきます。
近年は唐津を持ってきていただいてます。ブラウンがかったグレーの肌に鉄釉で黒い絵で引き締まった唐津手。唐津は使い込むほどに味わいが増してくるそうです。
ぜひ軽井沢でお使いいただきたい一品。

This is a large *Karatsu-style* platter by Masato Kudo.
He created this piece to mark his tenth solo exhibition in Karuizawa, choosing to depict Mount Asama. He captures the fierce, imposing nature of the active volcano alongside its rising plumes of smoke. Yet, three birds soar gracefully through the sky, conveying the grandeur of the natural world.
In recent years, he has been presenting works in the Karatsu style. This piece features a refined aesthetic, with a design painted in black iron glaze against a brownish-gray body. Karatsu ware is said to develop a richer character the more it is used.
It is a piece we would love for you to enjoy using in Karuizawa.
